The simple game of cake pictured below is like a petting zoo compared to the turbo charged full version, which is a dangerous wild animal sanctuary of hungry players searching for a player to eat.
Pictured above is the basic 4 player introductory game which led to the expanded game. It is a quick game about stuffing as much sweets in your cake hole as you can. It combines the dice rolling dynamics of Yahtzee with cake cards.
The expanded version (now in prototype form) is for up to 6 players, and has two decks of cards: The Cake Deck contains cakes and Party Favors. The Happy Card Deck contains special event cards that give players various powers, bonuses, and strategic actions when played. Players also have the option of rolling additional Bonus Dice as well as the basic 5 dice each player rolls on their turn.

Great for parties, and suitable for anyone who is able to roll dice, and add up their points, "CAKE" is a game balanced between strategy and luck. The full version "CAKE" has even more strategy and fun twists to the game. If you would like to try the game you can contact Scott Westgard (me) for a copy of the game.
Each player starts a a character (like Marie Antionette shown above.) Each player starts with Bonus Die Chips and/or Wild Chips, which help them in the game, and some unique ability.
The basic premise of the game is that players try to BUY cakes from a "Bakery" of cards placed in the center of the table by matching their dice roll to the required dice roll shown on the bottom of each cake card. Once a player takes a cake into their own "Pantry" they may then EAT that cake, by matching that dice roll again. Eating a cake then scores the point value of the card, and it is discarded.
Once someone scores 50 points or more worth of eaten cakes, the game goes into a Final Round where all other players have one more turn to catch up, or even beat that final score and WIN.
The mini game "CAKE" is available for playtesters, If you would like a game, or more information contact Scott Westgard below.
The full game is now available in prototype form. I only have a few copies of the full game, so if you are serious about playtesting, or are a publisher who would like to see the full prototype of CAKE, contact me.
Thanks!
